Care Assessment

Having just had a care assessment the SW has told me they can issue me with 4 weeks respite when needed is this normal also am awaiting financial assessment i know about the £23000 threshold figure and we are no where near that. Also sorry for all different questions but even though he has not started wetting the bed have decided to get separate beds now for the future plus the fact his hygiene has declined have made up the excuse the bed was old and needed changing can anyone tell me if you have to pay for respite any info would be so helpful thank you

My OH has just been offered 6 weeks rolling (?) respite and we are to be charged £270 per week or part week. We are way below the £23000 threshold.
