In the care home I work at, all of the profile beds have rails. All the rails have bumpers on them as well. As far as I'm aware, no resident has ever been trapped in or by the rails. Some have the rails up at night time to prevent falls out of bed and I know some residents don't need the rails at all.
Bed Side Rails - Home needs permission/signature - any additional advice?
