Hi, Can any one help me find an easy to use phone for my father? He needs a cordless phone (not a mobile but a landline one). We bought him the Geomarc phones (the ones that have photos of his contacts) thinking that it would be really easy to use but it seems to have just confused him more. If any one has experience of finding a simple, no frills and few buttons phone I'd be really grateful. Thanks.

Hello @maryhelenmay, you are welcome here and I hope you find the forum to be a friendly and supportive place.

I think there are such phones in the AS shop that can be found with this link https://shop.alzheimers.org.uk/?_ga=2.161032952.494953954.1541072292-354968703.1511184697

I hope you have time to take a good look around the site as it is a goldmine for information. When I first joined I read old threads for information but then found the AS Publications list and the page where a post code search can be done to check for support services in ones own area. If you are interested in these, clicking the following links will take you there

https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/get-support/publications-factsheets-full-list

https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/find-support-near-you

You will see that there are Factsheets that will help with things like getting care needs assessments, deciding the level of care required and sorting out useful things like Wills, Power of Attorney etc.

Now that you have found us I hope you will keep posting as the membership has vast collective knowledge and experience.

Hi - there is a website called unforgettable which is specifically aimed at products for people with dementia. I have got a couple of bits off there for my mum. Have some really handy stuff. Maybe worth a look to see if they have what you want. Not the cheapest but what I have purchased has been worth the money...
