Dear Sarah,
One of my ex-colleagues has MD but the kind that is not suitable for some of the new treatments available. She does receive regular injections to try to halt further progress. I have known her for nearly 30 years and only just now is it particularly worrying to her. It has been very slow to progress to this stage. She did tell me some time ago that there is a new treatment for one kind of MD and hopefully this will be your kind. I think investigating thoroughly your situation can only be in your best interest as I know for a fact that these things are not automatically offered to people in some cases!!
I do know the dread of having a brilliant GP leave My sympathies as you deal with this loss. I trust someone equally good will come into your life.
Sending love and a (HUG) at this difficult time.
