In this piece, members of the LGBTQ+ Dementia Advisory group discuss the importance of support that recognizes their identities.
Dáithí Clayton, a member of the group, says “The LGBTQ+ Dementia Advisory Group starts from a space of ‘We are queer folk’.”
This is a group specifically focused on listening to the voices of LGBTQ+ people affected by dementia.
