CHC funding for care at home

Hi guys

I have been out of the loop for a bit but I am sure that I have read the answer on this forum to my current query which is; can you claim CHC funding retrospectively for your own caring at home prior to having to use a care home? My care home manager says no but I would sure like some recompense for the awfull time I went through before I finally gave up the struggle.

The SS to their credit made sure that I got maintenance allowance but any nursing care had to be self funding.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi merlin.

As CHC is available for care in any setting I see no reason why it can't (theoretically) be claimed retrospectively.
