Had a long talk with my piglet this afternoon about dementia and the woman next door, who was a friend and used to come almost every day, who now , because of advanced dementia , has no idea who we are. I exsplain several times what was wrong wjth her and tried to steer the conversation around to what is happening to piglet. But she at no time caught on or related anything to herself. She just doesn't see the elephant in the room. So i let it ride and just talk as if it;s all ok ( yeah right). Sne is getting more confused as to what has actually happened in the past and the stories are getting more elaborate by the day. She now seems to except the new car so i don't have keep exsplaining that one at least. Phew.
