Hello and welcome to the Dementia Support Forum. I am sorry to read about your mom, this must be so difficult for you especially if things are so uncertain at present. It is hard to tell if someone is approaching the last stage which is different to the end of life stage. I would suggest that you try to have a serious talk with your mom's GP or consultant to get their views. You do not say if your mom in a care home, if so, you could also have a word with the manager there.
