Hi my mam has moved in with me, shes 82 and was diagnosed last year. Shes been having few headaches this week but today had a shooting pain in her eye that moved into head and neck, it then wore off and she’s left with a thick head. Any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming you're in the UK phone 111 right now, please. It could be nothing but make the call just in case. K

Then call 111, non emergency medical helpline, it's probably nothing but check.
Piece of advice as a one-time NHS nurse, don't wait for the GP. K

Hi I rang 111, which I feel was a waste of time. They were more bothered about which pain was the worst, the stabbing pain or headache? I said it’s all connected, she doesn’t feel well and said her head feels to heavy for her body. They said someone will ring back within 24 hours 🤷🏼‍♀️

@jolo1803 That is an awful response from 111, if you are at all concerned please call 999
