Hi All

My stepdad has been diagnosed with Alzheimers for around 8 years and is deteriorating now, especially just having had chest infection. We are hoping of some improvement as there has been some already but not sure how much we will get back.
A few years back David encouraged me to do some running and we did the Warrington half marathon the first two years. As I do not count myself as a 'proper runner' I felt the best I could do was to enter the London Marathon to raise as much money as possible for this great cause, as David has completed it 3 times.
If anyone has a spare pound or two or could forward to anyone else I would be so grateful. Thank you

Just donated. :)

My son did a similar thing (although 1/2 marathon) last year and raised over £1000 - every bit helps ay ;)

I do hope you reach your target and good luck on the day :D

thank you very much - so kind of you.
I have great support from everyone. It makes you realise how much Alzheimers touches so many people. Thanks again

London Marathon for my Gran - Please watch my video

Hi all,

I am running the London Marathon in April for the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of my Gran.

I’ve made a little film to explain why I am running and the kind of training I am doing for it:

http://youtu.be/AnRvRGmVJmE (make sure you close the ads on youtube so you can read the captions!)

Please help me raise as much as possible for this worthy cause at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/CathyCampbell

And if you’re wondering where I got the inspiration for the video from it’s here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iPFK5T_G3U

Thanks so much
