Hello,

My Dad has Alzheimer's, he's 81. He was diagnosed in 2021. Lately his condition has deteriorated very rapidly. N it's now time for full-time care. I'm so sad.

Hello @Twinstwice and welcome to this friendly and supportive forum. There is a wealth of shared experience of dementia to be found here from members who really do understand and want to help.

I am sorry to read about your Dad's Alzheimer's diagnosis. Yes it's tough for sure - there's no getting round that. And making the decision to place a loved one in a care home setting - so so difficult, even though you know it is the right decision to keep them safe. But it pulls at the heart. I do totally understand.

Do have a good look round the forums and ask any particular questions you may like to - you will always find a listening ear, understanding, and good advice.
