Hello Charmaine and welcome to Talking Point.

I sent a message saying I had move this to start a Thread of your own. I am sorry to hear about your husband but I do not have experience of this type of dementia.

Please let us know a little more about yourself and your husband and how you are coping so far. I am sure others will be along to support you even though they may not be caring for someone with exactly the same diagnosis.

My wife is also a sufferer

My husband has PPA dementia logopaenic variety.

Hi Charmaine
My wife has also been diagnosed with Alzheimers, PPA and dyspraxia, so I would be happy for us to exchange experiences. She was 56 at diagnosis last year, and her speech has now reached the point where it is hugely difficult to understand her, particularly if she is tired, anxious or stressed.

The condition is as you no doubt know pretty rare, which makes it even more difficult. I have tried to find a PPA support group, and there is nothing regionally, but there is a group in London, who have contacted me after a web search.

Let me know if you think we can help one another.

best wishes
David
