Hi. Mum was diagnosed just under a year ago and my Dad, brother & myself are caring for her. I took early retirement last year to support Dad as he has always been very active & sociable, and was really down with not getting out so much. This has really helped him, but I'm now struggling emotionally so just wanted to reach out to people in similar situations.

I’m sorry to hear about your mum. Have you got any outside help for you mum and dad? If not you might want to arrange an assessment of needs for you mum and a carers’ assessment for your dad and for your yourself. I would contact the social work department and see if you can get these arranged. Some input from carers might give you and your dad some respite.
