hi,
Mum is 85, has advanced Alzheimer’s and been in nursing home for 3.5 years. She has no mobility, is doubly incontinent and has to be fed. She went through a bad stage early this year but for a few months now she’s been really happy and been able to talk and hold a cup. On Friday I visited and she was so confused and agitated and kept crying and saying something is happening I’m scared. Today she had a black out and vomited and her bladder emptied everywhere. I know she’s incontinent and she had a pad on but it was a flood. She’s back in bed, saying she’s scared and not really eating or drinking. She hasn’t got an infection and she’s not on any medication. I don’t understand what’s happened ? Help.

I think you need to speak to the home about getting your mother seen by a doctor. What have they told you about this? It is very frightening indeed but I hope may not be as serious as it seems.
