Hi my name is lauren and my dad is in his 50s. He has been diagnosed with mixed dementia. Not coping very well just wanted some advice.

Well hello and welcome from me.
Well over 10 years ago my wife (the reason I post on here) was diagnosed with early onset, mixed, atypical Alzheimer's, so what did that tell me? Nothing.
There are a lot of threads on here about specific forms of dementi, but for me it's always been about dealing with the day to day stuff not what it's called.
The emotional side is the same and I think that's why I post, doesn't matter what it's called, diagnosis may be specific, caring and compasssion, understanding and being willing to help if you can, even if it's just a few kind words of encouragement matter more to me than all the specific diagnosis stuff.
All the advise you want on here, say what you want if and when you want. K
