Is vertigo symptom of dementia?

Could anyone help me understand if vertigo and dementia are related? I am worried. My uncle in his mid-age diagnosed with dementia is facing Vertigo. Are these two different issues to deal with or are they correlated?

What sort of dementia does your uncle have @Hima ? My FIL had vascular dementia and used to get vertigo symptoms. I was told that this happened when he had a TIA and these were part of his vascular dementia

That's interesting canary. I've asked if it could be TIA's but was told it wasn't. Would make sense though.
