Hi. There is an interim order on my parent’s bank account until deputyship paperwork comes through from the Court of Protection.
I need to get a repair done to my parent’s house and it may cost more than what I can claim back from her account per week for things like shopping and cleaners.
I asked the bank if there would be a way of paying for a large bill and they said they would have to contact the Court of Protection to find out.
I’m not sure what I am going to do if the repair costs a lot of money as I am facing job insecurity.
Does anyone know how it works with interim orders and large bills?
Quite a few years ago when my parent had the capacity to give me power of attorney she refused to do it. I can’t help feeling angry about this and all the inconvenience it causes. I have funded things myself if I am unable to get official invoices or receipts of payment for things.
