why is there an organisation called Dementia UK and an Alzheimers Society - surely they should amalgamate?

Worth looking at and listening to
At least one member today has written of their frustration
with this horrible disease and the way it takes away the mind and body of their loved ones
The song(s) do not take away that pain but I think they do help to calm the frustration.

Well, we learn something every day! I did google the name and what a suprise I got. Although I am a great fan of the Admiral Nursing Service, having recieved tremendous help from them, I did not know they were also Dementia Support UK.

I don't know if there is any conflict of interest in this thread ,posted originaly by JPG1

I cannot see how any member of TP could not be touched by the words and haunting voice of the lady singer
What is more they have a website devoted to the dementia charity and do concerts for charity with a minimal cost
I have ordered a copy of the song at a low price of £2 +50p postage
(proceeds go to charity)
