Hi just recently join the forum .
Im one of three children who are now getting used to their mum being in the Carehome system
My mum who had early dementia is currently in care after getting Covid in 2020 Leaving her unable to walk and became non verbal in 2022/23 says some words but not many . She used To enjoy colouring books but now not that keen to use the pencils . We give her kids toys and jigsaws that helps keep her occupied, if any one can suggest anything she might like to keep her amused that would be great .

a box of different buttons maybe that she can sort into size, colour etc. fiddle muffs with different things attched, fidget toys, maybe the chunky crayons might help as easier to hold. do the care home do any activities that could be portable so your mum could join in or any other suggestions they may have. does your mum like music?
