It's what the site is about, I've posted for something over 10 years in and I'm still posting, as a now former carer, first 10 years are the worst,
I found after that you get used to it, when the going gets tough the tough get going.

There is no harm asking for help @CappyQueen Have you had a carers assessment? Are you getting the benefits you are entitled to?

Carers: looking after yourself

Supporting a person with dementia can be positive and rewarding, but it can also be challenging. Looking after yourself is important for both you and the person you are supporting.

Hey @CappyQueen, it is exhausting and can be upsetting and rewarding all at the same time!

Come here for a rant or advice. Sometimes I just find myself reading through others posts and realising that we really are all in this together, even though dementia affects families in so many different ways, we can all support each other in the same way, just by being here.
