My in laws last saw my mum (PWD, diagnosed 1yr ago) 2years ago.

Today they rock up to my house to drop off a birthday present for my husband and after spending a whole 20 minutes with my mum and my son they send me a message to ask if we are sure mum has dementia as she had seemed perfectly normal whilst they were there.

Instead of saying exactly what I thought of their comment, I took a deep breath and messaged them back explaining that her behaviour is described as hosting and if they didnt believe me that she has Dementia they are more than welcome to let her live in their house for a year so they can make a more informed diagnosis.
😒😒😢

Without any criticism of your action, it would be useful if the existence of hostess mode could be included in the dementia awareness campaign.
