My mother in law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s yesterday.
I need to know if we should correct her when she makes a mistake, for example if she calls you by the wrong name do we ignore it or correct her. I’ve been told that you shouldn’t highlight to her that she has said something wrong.
Any suggestions please.
Thanks

If you constantly correct you will become worn out and it won’t make any difference to her because she will forget. Correct when necessary eg if doing something dangerous but otherwise just gloss over memory slips.

Thank you, I am just worried that if I allowed her to call me by the wrong name that it may confuse her more or she will forget my name completely.
