Dementia behaviour

My father has recently been diagnosed with dementia but is showing specific behaviour at certain times of the day. Around mid-afternoon he has started to believe that my mother is a lodger of his who owes him money and that he is calling the police to get her evicted. This causes her a lot of distress, but passes within a few hours. This behaviour started about 10 months ago but is now becoming a daily feature.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
