Can you get proof of positive covid test?

Hi there, does anyone know if theres any paperwork or evidence to say someones had a positive covid test when theyre in a carehome?

If it's a lateral flow test then I don't think there is any paperwork but if PCR then the tests are usually sent off in bulk and the results then come back via email or text to the person who submitted the tests. They are then advised to inform the resident/GP/family of the result. So there may not be paperwork but there will definitely be email/text evidence. Thanks @Louise7 hopefully it gets put on the residents medical records as its presumably quite an important piece of information..
