Breathing

Had a scary phone call from the Care Home this evening - Mum had been unable to breathe, oxygen levels low, going blue etc. Paramedics called but when they arrived Mum sneezed and lots and lots of 'snot'(sorry) came out and she was OK again! She has advanced Alzheimers - is this something which others have experienced? Really worrying.

That was my thought, Canary, but apparently her chest is clear. She is very tired today so will see how she is later - just seemed a really strange and worrying episode.

Assuming the 'snot' was from her nose it might have been food/thickened drinks because the swallowing reflex has gone wrong.

May be worth while asking for a SALT referral.
