my nan has had alzheimer's since feb 2004 and since 2009 has been experiencing regular T.I.A's, they used to just be fainting fits but are now showing more stroke like effects, she is now nearly 83 and has them every 6 weeks I have had to put a DNR in place as have been warned a major stroke could happen at anytime and I can't have her suffering. Any comments gratefully received.

Hi Debbie
My dad had frequent TIAs . He had already had his big stroke.
Each time he had one it robbed us of a bit more of dad. But other than a day in bed he usually recovered physically

TIA's

My Mom had TIA's. She never had a full blown stroke. The Doctor prescribed plavix for her and that did the trick. Hope this helps.
