Hello everyone my 1st post. First of all I am clapping for all of us and our loved one's dealing with situation. I am isolating with my 85 year old aunt. I have tried numerous times to explain social distancing but she doesn't understand. She doesn't get why people cannot come to visit and still makes reference like oh I bet they have gone somewhere nice in this lovely weather. Any tips or suggestions on how I might help her understand.

Hello @Beks1969 and welcome to DTP

Im afraid that you are unlikely to be able to explain the situation to your aunt - and even if you did manage to get her to understand in the moment it would not be retained. I think the best thing when she wonders why no-one is visiting is to say - yes its a shame, but I expect they will visit tomorrow. Then distract her with talk about something else, tea and cake, favourite TV, or whatever.
