My husband has been in hospital 7 weeks today. He has been abusive at night in the ward. Security have been involved in restraining him. He has now been accepted in a nursing home for six weeks trial. I’m dreading this nit working out. Where does he go from there if rejected.

Fingers crossed the nursing home works out. If not, social services will have to find somewhere suitable.
I wish you strength.

There will be somewhere for him. Hospital is not a good place for someone with dementia. Care homes are more used to it all and know how to deal with it.

I think we all have this fear when our PWD (person with dementia) goes into a care home - that the home will not be able to meet their needs. But if this one can't then another one will be found, so don't worry. A care home is very different from a hospital and the staff will know how to deal with challenging behaviour.
