A big thank you to Alzheimer's Society for your Memory Café concept. Mum and I attended our local one this morning, two a month in this area. Mum remembered the friend she made from our last visit and I got lots more useful advice and I've found a new friend.

These groups hold out the chance of company for your Mum and new friends for you. Stick with it. I look forward to talking to people about things other than dementia but importantly if I need advice on the dementia front it is there.

Great news. It isn't just the Alzheimer's Society running memory cafes, they are springing up all over the place run by other charities and local authorities now.
