Hi, well SMIL was accessed and accepted into the home, she has been there two weeks now, and all seems to be going well.

They have asked for pads to be taken in dont know if thats the norm?

FIL likes the home they make a fuss of him and he get invited to stay for tea and Sunday Lunch :D

Hope that this one works out,

Keep up the good work, your all doing marvelous!

Well.... SMIL in the new home all seemed OK.
Then...
She had a really bad tumble, knocked her face up really bad on the table. Hospital visit and sent back to the home.
Three days later she didn't want to get up in the morning, so carers left her and went back 5 mins later, to find her on the floor, trip to hospital, she had broken her hip:(
So she is now still in the hospital after having her hip repaired and now they have found out she has C Diff and had to go on isolation ward.
Now we have had to have a meeting about NHS Continuing Care Funding:confused:
I may need to ask some questions about that when I have had time to read all the leaflets they gave me at the hospital:eek:
But perhaps start a new thread for that.
Thanks for reading
Ethel Joan.

Hi Ethel Joan
I have just read all your thread, what a time you have had.
My Mum was given Continual Care Funding at the end of last year. Although she is still at home being cared for by my SF (Stepfather). It has made a big difference to him so hope your SMIL gets it.
