Newbie here with early onset Alzheimer's Disease

Sorry for the delay in posting…
It has been a traumatic year for me and my family. on Tuesday 9 May I lost my darling lad to lung cancer, he was 47 years old and my carer and had attorney for me. it is a nightmare having to sort all this out on top of the grief you are going through.
Then on 31 August, my sister died, she was 71 years old.
I haven’t had the energy, or heart to post anything until now - anyhow, here they are, both together and at peace x

The first anniversary of my darling lad's death from lung cancer...
We decorated his grave with his favourite colour and put the St George flags on ready for the European Cup - he loved his football, especially England!
As he was my carer as well for my dementia, I don't think I have done to bad in managing to cope without him on that front, but the grief is the price we pay for lost love - and I will never mend or recover from that.

Hello @Daryl2510 I am so sorry to read of your loss. You are so right in that grief can never be overcome but I do think in time we learn to live with it as best we can. Anniversaries are important and it sounds like you honoured your lads memory well.
