Hi everyone. Father recently diagnosed with nph, it has caused a terrible decline in his dementia. Mother is his carer, but so complicated, she has many complex needs of her own. My main concern is how much her increasing nastiness towards Father is upsetting my own children. They know he's ill and can't understand why Nanna is being horrible to Papa when he's essentially wandering round like a lost lamb. I feel like I should feel more sympathy for Mother's position. I want to fix it and want to stop feeling like I want to fix it, if that makes sense. Ugh. Hard.

Hello @BadlyLitBandit ,I’ve just come across your post, they can disappear sometimes.
I’m wondering if your mum is not coping and may be in need of help herself. You say she has her own needs , are these being met? What would you think about getting social services in to asses both your parents. No one can be happy in this situation.
