Great South Run

Hi

I'm new to the forum - hello!

I have signed up to run in the Great South Run on 28th October 2012 through the Alzheimer's Society and I am very proud and delighted to be supporting the charity. My mother is suffering from the early stages of dementia. I am finding the information and support on the website and on the forum invaluable.

I would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring me. I appreciate that you get asked for support all the time, however, it would really spur me on to complete my challenge to raise £250.

I did it!

I complete the run in 1 hour and 46 minutes and, more importantly raised over £265 for Alzheimer's Society. The support team were amazing - thank you for the tea after the race!

My mum has had her diagnosis confirmed so I will continue to fundraise for the society. I've already entered next year's Great South Run.
