My Mum is the main carer for my Father, but I am there every day trying to take as much of the load as I can.

My health hasn't been great and I'm worried that the situation at home is perpetuating quite a bit of my mental and physical health issues. Everyday is usually filled with anxiety, depression and stress. Medication doesn't help, it causes more problems than it's worth. So, I'm having to turn to mindfulness and the soft arts.

So much needs to be done at home and I'm also looking for work that won't harm me further.

I'm going to a carers association drop-in today, to see if I can get any information of places or things that we can use to make things easier. Something like this is very much out of my comfort zone and I'm not looking forward to it.

Relax! You may find that there is help out there, sometimes just talking to others is a great help. They may suggest courses which maybe of great benefit.
