Hello everyone I'm worried about my mum. She has had a bad back since November. We have been to loads of Dr appointment's and they sent her for and x-ray said she had an infection and was given 2 lots of antibiotics. But the pain dident go. So about 3 weeks ago we went back to the Dr's and he refered her to a back specialist. We recived that appointment about a week. We went and the man was lovely and done some basic test. They think she has strained her back but because of her other symptoms they are quite worried and have refered her for a Mri scan. We recived the appointment 2 day's later. She is booked in for this Saturday. Im just a but worried about what they are looking for and what they might find if something is wrong.

Sorry for the long post xx

hi sky90
no wonder you are worried
it is good that the medics are being so thorough and not dismissing your mum's pain and your concerns
ask them anything that's on your mind - I find the not knowing is often harder to take than knowing whatever it is that's not right
so I hope the appointment on Saturday helps both of you
keep us informed
best wishes

It is a worry, I hope you don't have to wait too long for a post-scan appointment. They probably won't give any information on Saturday as the scan will need to be seen by the Radiologist and then the results sent to the Spinal Specialist.

Good Luck.x
