    HI Hazel

SO sorry to hear that you are feeling under par. The events of the last few months are no doubt catching up with you. Try and get as much rest as you can (not easy I know) and get the barley water and the cranberry juice inside you. I think that the Antibiotics are the worst part (currently on them for a massive sinus infection and they are upsetting my stomach!) Luckily it didn't start until I got back from holiday which was wonderful, although I had a few tears coming up the M6 as I realised that Mum would not be there to listen to my tales.

    (((((hugs)))

    Love

    Hi Mameeskye

    Welcome back!

Glad you had a good holiday, I hope my 'grandchildren' enjoyed it.:)

You're allowed a few tears, it's another 'first time'.

    Love,

    Hi All

I always thought that if taking antibiotics, one should also eat live yoghurt, to put back the good bacteria. I even do this with my dogs.

Is there a new remedy that I have missed?

Hazel, hope both you and John are feeling better very soon

Take care and please rest if you need to, we don't want you to be too ill to join us on TP.

    Love
    Alfjess

Hi Alfjess, thank you so much for your kindness.

I think Mameeskye's barley water and cranberry juice suggestion was to combat the UTI, rather than to replace tha good bacteria. Anyway, I'm using them all! Anything to stop myself feeling like this.

Having said that, I'm not quite such a zombie this morning, so hopefully I'm over the worst!

    Love,

    Thank you Cliff.

I really do feel better today. Still very tired, but much more with-it.

How are things with you and Dee?

    Love,

    Hi everyone

I'm hesitant about posting this, because every time I post good news, there always seems to be a downturn a couple of days later.

But I'm so thrilled, so here goes!

I was invited for coffee this morning at a friend's house She's rather posh, so I dressed up in a smart silk top with a geometric pattern. John always loved geometric patterns, and would pick them out for me.

I went straight to the NH afterwards to feed him lunch. He was very alert, and smiled when he saw me, and held up his face for a kiss. Then he noticed my top, and pointed to it and smiled.

I said, 'Is it nice?', and he said 'Yes'.

Only one word, but he initiated the conversation, and that's the first time that has happened for more than a year.

All the staff say he's much more responsive these days.

OK, I know he's not really getting better, but I'm at the top of the rollercoaster today.

Thank you so much everyone for being happy with me.

Your wish is my command, this is the top. It's actually more animal print than geometric, but who cares, John likes it!

No, I'm not in it. For one thing, I can't be bothered to set up the tripod, but the main reason is that I look awful!!!!!

Well if you needed an excuse for some retail therapy (personally I never need an excuse) now you have it. Go get those geometric tops, dresses, jackets, trousers, hats, bras...:D

Sounds like a really positive day. :)
