work from home

hi,
My mum has dementia and only leaves the house to go to the day centre or with me or my sister. She spends days alone just watching tv. I wonder if there is any kind of work from home that she could do, just to have something else to do. Even very simple things, for example, she can't use a computer any more; just to give her a purpose.
Does anyone know of any schemes or home work opportunities that aren't a rip off.

Hope someone out there can guide me.
Big thanks for reading and helping if you can.

Work from home? I don't think that's a great idea as someone would have to supervise she is doing it correctly, whatever it is. Why don't you get someone from a sitting service to keep her company, they can go for walks, do arts and crafts, chat, watch telly together...

Interesting concept, but sadly probably won't work. Have you thought about planning some tasks for her, like beads and thread to make bracelets and necklaces, or old jumpers to take apart and rewind the wool.
