There is a good article in the October edition of Women's Health magazine written by a lady who found herself being carer for her mother as she was the "single, no children, daughter". Having lived through a similar situation looking after my mum (I wouldn't have had it any other way) it may be helpful for those who are new to caring for a relative. It's on page 106 and it made me cry whilst reading it.
