Mary Poppins!do you mean putting them up? they are useless in this wind and only useful for flying
I've never understood using umbrellas when it's windy. I have coats suitable for winter walking and wear these to go out when it's wet and windyWhat I really DO NOT understand is the preoccupation with umbrella use in these times
You'd think so but in fact they are rubbish! I used to have one of these, many moons ago when they were trendy... As you can see with her maj, in order to see where you are going (because raindrops completely obscure your vision), you need to lift the thing up high so it barely shelters you at all and as they are quite 'deep' they are very unwieldy. I'm waiting for a new version that comes with windscreen wipers that you could hold lower down over you but actually see through...I don't use an umbrella but I think this type would be easier to control in wind
ive had one of those as well and the wind goes up the umbrella. ive even tried big brollies like golf ones and they do itYou'd think so but in fact they are rubbish!
