I don't use an umbrella but I think this type would be easier to control in wind

You'd think so but in fact they are rubbish! I used to have one of these, many moons ago when they were trendy... As you can see with her maj, in order to see where you are going (because raindrops completely obscure your vision), you need to lift the thing up high so it barely shelters you at all and as they are quite 'deep' they are very unwieldy. I'm waiting for a new version that comes with windscreen wipers that you could hold lower down over you but actually see through...

Earlier this morning. It’s stopped snowing now. I’m going to Stonehaven by train this morning so I hope it remains calm!

It looks so picturesque, especially with the lights.

It`s still very windy here and my neighbours` trees are blowing into my gutters and the satellite dish. I have had no satellite connection for more than a week. It will be a case of having the dish moved or asking my neighbours to prune their trees. ?‍♀️

It's damp here today. I still have my washing line tied round the garden table cover but will remove today as wind has dropped. Such pretty photos @Izzy I really like snow ❄️ as long as am cosy indoors.
