Wife Diagnosed

My wife has MCI

My first post... She's 63 and has Comorbid Mild Cognitive Impairment, a quick search tells me that "comorbid" means a medical condition that occurs with another, that, in this case, being anxiety and depression. So I'm not strictly in the right forum, but this seemed to be the appropriate place...

But today after the specialst reviewed the 2nd SPECT scan, the diagnosis is the early stages of alzheimers

The specialist is going to refer her for a clinical trial

We knew this was coming, deep down, but I'm a bit numb right now.

Hi. UncleZen. So sorry to hear of your news. As Shedrech has said, no matter what your suspicions were, it’s shocking to have them confirmed. Please be aware that dementia is very different for different people so worse fears may not happen as you think. Please look after yourself and keep posting- it’s a great source of support on this forum
