They won't be the only ones. A lot of shops now prefer cards to cash due to the virus, although not everyone is refusing them outright. It is a lot easier, quicker and more hygienic to simply tap your card on the reader than to handle cash and to have to give change. From 1 April the amount you can tap on a contactless card without having to use a PIN has increased from £30 to £45 so make use of it!

Sainsbury's are doing the same. They let me pay at the self service till, but that took the supervisor away from her post which was decent of her.

I was aware quite a lot of shops were doing this, before they closed many cafes were doing this, my local pharmacy is only taking card and has been for weeks.
