Hi, I am from the University of Worcester and am researching views on care homes for my Masters MSc (Health and Social Care) and would really welcome your opinions. I really need your help to participate in my on-line anonymous and confidential survey. As a token of appreciation I am offering a prize draw for Amazon Vouchers and will send the results of the research to those who choose to submit their email address on completion of the survey.
I am looking for the views of three groups of people (please cut and paste the relevent link to participate in the survey)
- people who have been involved with finding a care home or who will be involved in the near future:

- care home staff / owners / managers / supervisors / nurses / administrators:

- professionals involved in the route to finding a care home (social care workers, physios, OT's, nurses etc):

As a token of appreciation for those who participate I am offering the chance to win a £10 Amazon gift voucher and I will also provide the results of all three surveys to those who participate and wish to receive them.
The survey is short and should take about 2-3 minutes to complete.
Thank you so much for reading my request. If you know of others who this survey may apply to then please forward the relevent links to them.
The survey can also be accessed in alternative formats upon request. Any queries please email me.
Many many thanks

Wanted: Opinions on Care Home by Staff and Users

Many thanks for all the help, information and opinions that people have given me through the surveys and by email. Your support is really appreciated. The survey is still open until 1st August. Although my research has limitations I believe that any research that is for the benefit of older people is valuable and brings all the issues that are present into the fore. This is the only way that progress can be made in developments to improve the lives of older people. Kind regards - Lisa

I liked the idea of virtual tours of Care Homes and on-line details of bed vacancies and photos of the room available. That kind of information would probably save a lot of time for clients as well as the staff at the Care Home and allow people to easily compare what is on offer.
I'm prepared to answer questions by PM, but I don't want to give my e-mail address.
My mother has been in a Care Home for respite and another one for three months, before going into a Nursing Home for eighteen months, where she died nearly two months ago.
