my husband is now - with great reluctance - in a care home, I don't go every day or rarely even two days together, I also vary the time of day, that way you are not expected, on any particular day or time. I was advised to do this by someone who works in a home and it means even the staff don't know just when you will be in, an hour is more than enough time I think as concentration is impossible to keep up from the patients point of view

I’ve been thinking, and wondered what others thought.
A short visit each day or less frequent long visits?
I know of family that do both of the above, what do you think?
The CH has events like a walk to the local library, musical bingo etc. every weekday morning so I visit two mornings in the week and 1 afternoon at the weekend when it is quiet. This way I help my wife to join in the activity and can leave when they are setting out lunch. The Ch is local so this leaves me time to sort out my own home life on my own and I am sure she is being well cared for
