Thank you to everyone who has already answered my pleas for media volunteers on talking point!
I am currently working on our new Hearts and Brains project, which aims to raise awareness of vascular dementia. We are hoping to launch this campaign to the media in September.
One of the commitments of the Alzheimer's Society's Public Affairs team is to get the voices of people with dementia and their carers into the media. The best way to illustrate the way that dementia affects people is by making sure the people affected by dementia have the opportunity to tell their own stories.
If anyone would be interested in volunteering to speak to the media about their experiences of vascular dementia, whether a person with dementia or their carer then please send me a private message to find out more. You will not need to commit yourself to anything nor will it take up much of your valuable time.
