hi @Angtrog
Welcome to our midst, they are loads of people here that have coped with your problem and they are generous with their expertise.
My late husband had mixed dementia, that is Alzheimers and vascular dementia in his mid 70s. As dementia has many problems and not everybody gets all of them, one just has to be prepared!
With vascular dementia the problems are related to the blood system, so mini strokes, aka as TIAs (transient ischaemic attacks) are common, an depending on where they occur in the brain will determine what problem, if any, will occur. Many of OHs TIAs would be OK after a sleep. Near the end, they were bigger and it meant a hospital visit.
I'm sure somebody will be along and post a link for you. I’m totally useless at these things!

Hullo and welcome to the forums from me too, @Angtrog.
My partner has vascular dementia, and it wasn't for DTP and carers groups I would be isolated. So, keep posting and reading here. When this is all over and you can get out again contact your local carers support centre and look for memory cafes too as they are great place for both of you to meet people and chat.
The link Spamar was referrring to was probably https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/about-dementia/types-dementia/vascular-dementia
https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/find-support-near-you is off for now, but worth looking in a month or two as is https://carers.org/

Hi @Angtrog and welcome to the forum.

I’m so sorry to read about your husband’s diagnosis - so young too. I know you will get lots of help and support here. There’s a section dedicated to people caring for a partner who has a diagnosis of dementia. Have a browse around that and if you feel like it you can open your own thread there. There’s always someone here to listen.
