Zyprexa (Olanzapine) is the one my Dad has just been put on.

I think such articles may be useful, but on the other hand with all these things it is important to keep in mind the huge variation in patients.

The case highlighted in the paper is a particularly dramatic and distressing one; if it wasn't, the paper wouldn't have used it.

I have no doubt that it would be possible to find patients who have been improved with these drugs.

I dinf it hard to believe that the medical profession would use them if they did not believe there was even a possivility of gaining a benefit.

It is certainly possible to find people who have had no benefit at all from drugs like Aricept, or who had dramatic side effects.

Yet we have had enormous benefits from it.

Thanks Skye. I believe this has happened to my Dad. I wished I'd seen this eight months ago.
