I had mums neighbours gossiping about me. Mum, unfortunately, blamed me for everything (very, very common in dementia because they do not realise that it is they themselves that have something wrong) and told her neighbours how awful I was. They completely believed her and I got some very odd looks. Eventually, though, mum could not hide her dementia symptoms and everyone around realised that the problem was mum, not me.
