Undiagnosed dementia

Hello please anybody give me advice mum refusing treatment. Two referrals been cancelled. I spoke to go does not want to know and said matters closed very worried don't know what to do next

My husband refused everything.
I did everything I could without discussion, behind my husband`s back. I spoke to the GP. I made notes of his behaviours.

You may need to wait until your mother either believes she needs help or believes you have stopped noticing anything is wrong. It`s likely she knows something is wrong but is afraid.

I was lucky with dad's GP who phoned me to ask me if I would attend an appointment with dad (with dad's permission) after dad got lost and arrivef att one of his appointments very late!

Other GPs at the same practice were completely useless when it came to dementia. It might be worth approaching a different doctor for advice but until your mum agrees to co-operate there's not much they can do.

In the meantime keep posting here. You'll be amongst others who understand and can often help with specific problems as they arise.
