Hi lovely people, I was just wondering , we are lucky enough to be doing a bit of a bucket list holiday later this year to a warm sunny place , can anyone reccomend travel insurance with a company who didn't add huge penalty for dementia (early stages) or, exclude that person totally !
Thanks

As I've said elsewhere, Columbus Direct were brilliant with us and I've even managed to take out an annual policy with OH's dementia included without a huge penalty.

I hope you have a fantastic holiday wherever your bucket list takes you.

I researched this extensively as me and My Sister too are going to Barbados in March.

Some of the specialist insurances were quite expensive.

I then did Gocompare etc and found out that even when the dementia was declared it only cost £5 extra for a 15 day insurance worldwide including Carribean and USA. My sister is only 59 years old so maybe that had some bearing, but the screening questions were the same for comparison and specialist sites.

Have a wonderful holiday.

We cannot wait, so excited. Fortunately we have been there before (5years ago and 25 years ago) and it is just so wonderful that she can remember so much of our previous visits and even wants to visit 'those people' that we know there.
