Some of you may remember that my M-in-L takes 25 minutes to brush her teeth at night.
Well, I had a chat with her dentist this morning and then took her to him for a check up this afternoon, with great difficulty I might add.
He was an absolute star! He told her that she only needs to brush for 2 minutes; but not only that, he had printed off instructions on brushing AND laminated it to make it bathroom friendly!!
My husband who does tooth brushing duty with her showed her the instructions this evening. Result - 4 minutes brushing!!!!!!!!!!!
We only hope that it can continue.

Well Done you! And how nice to have an understanding, dementia friendly dentist.

Put something on his web site to recommend him to other carers - he deserves it, and you will be doing your bit to make people aware of the difficulties we face.

He sounds fantastic. I'd definately pass his name around as someone who can be relied on.
